In addition to its traditional life-threatening natural disasters, the island of Miyako has been plagued by mysterious earthquakes and unexplainable phenomena. A biologist from the mainland named Rikyu is dispatched to investigate what's happening on the island, but he brings along a group of curious scientists and engineers in tow. The crew cross a treacherous ocean only to find themselves wholly unprepared for the strange things they'll discover on this uncharted isle.
