Table No. 21 is a 2017 Indian Hindi thriller drama film directed and written by Aditya Dhar. The film stars Manisha Koirala, Anupam Kher, Rajit Kapur and Tisca Chopra. Produced under the banner of PVR Pictures, Table No. 21 was released on 27 September 2017 across India and it received mixed reviews from the critics. Table No. 21 is an exploration of the relationship between the three siblings, while the story revolves around their parents. It explores how close two siblings can be without having to share everything about their lives with each other. The film opens with affluent businessman Arjun Dadi (Anupam Kher) and his wife Nandini (Tisca Chopra) coming to the police station with complaints that threaten to ruin their business and reputations. The trio threaten the police officer in charge, which makes him begin questioning them about what has been going on for quite some time now. Arjun and Nandini order their son Kant to get in their car and take him home without telling him what the matter is about. After hearing that Arjun and Nandini are in trouble, Kant (Manisha Koirala) goes to their house. There he sees his siblings being interrogated by the police officer. He overhears the officer telling them that his father has been cheating on their mother with a woman called Anjali (Kivlenje Jayaram). The family goes out for a walk to get away from the media attention, while Arjun comes back home to find that his wife has disappeared. Nandini is gone but her phone is left behind. He calls her but no one answers. He does not suspect anything at first and tries to convince himself that she has gone on a business trip or a trip with her friends. He goes inside the house and hears his wife talking to someone. He sees a group of women walking out from the terrace who have been getting calls from his house. He follows them and watches as they enter the society where Anjali lives. There he meets Anjali after uncovering that she is Nandini's secret lover, who has been trying to poison him for years. He confronts her but she claims that she is desperate as their marriage was falling apart due to Arjun cheating on her for years. Arjun then decides to go home to his children. By that time, Kant has already come to know about the matter and has confronted the media. He is shocked to hear that his father was cheating on Nandini, while he had always believed that they were a happy couple. Arjun tries to convince him otherwise but Kant refuses to listen to him, claiming he does not have anything more to say after what he has done behind their mother's back. Nandini confronts Arjun at home and slaps him for humiliating her but she is unable to reveal anything about Anjali because she knows how much it breaks her son's heart.
